Custom non-standard sizes are also available. It is a specialized fallen object fishing tool for drilling, oil and gas, water wells, and mining drilling. It is used to retrieve fallen pipe-like objects such as drill rods, casing, core tubes, and oil pipes from the well, achieving a strong connection and retrieval through thread engagement. It is the core tool for handling stuck pipe and dropped pipe accidents.

Description
Recovery Tap (also called Taper Tap, Fishing Tap) is a heavy-duty downhole fishing tool widely used in mineral exploration, diamond core drilling, water well, geotechnical and oil & gas projects worldwide. It is designed to recover lost/stuck tubular fish such as drill rods, core barrels, casings, and tubing by cutting new threads and establishing a strong mechanical connection for pulling out.
It is the first-choice tool for handling common downhole accidents: parted rods, broken connections, stuck pipe, and fish with damaged or irregular top ends.
As the drilling time increases, the threads may wear out due to frequent assembly and disassembly, or due to overloading use. There is a certain probability that the threads will experience fatigue fracture. For the fractured part, a corresponding fishing tap can be used to retrieve it from the hole. The retrieval components can be divided into drill pipe taps and casing taps. According to the location of the fracture retrieval, it can be divided into retrieving male taps and retrieving female taps. The fishing tap can be connected to the drill pipe by changing the diameter and lowered into the hole to retrieve the fractured part.
