Its main functions are to maintain the diameter, align the core, protect the pipe, and stabilize the borehole wall. It is specifically designed for medium and deep - deep holes (≤1800m), medium-hard - hard rocks, and complex formations. It reduces the wear of the outer pipe and shares the radial wear with the drill bit.

Structure and Materials
1. High-strength Matrix: High-quality alloy steel forged (such as 40CrNiMo), resistant to torsion, vibration, and deformation, suitable for deep holes with high loads.
2. High-maintenance Mat: Carbon tungsten hard alloy with a high-maintenance formula, with a temperature resistance of 1100℃, suitable for medium-hard to hard rocks and strong grinding formations.
3. Diamond Working Layer (Optional):
* Inlaid Natural Diamond: For medium-hard rocks and intact formations, it offers fast advancement, smooth chip removal, and moderate cost.
* Inlaid Diamond: For hard rocks and fractured / grinding formations, it has a long lifespan, excellent stability, and is the preferred choice for deep holes.
* PCD Composite Sheet: For strong grinding and extremely hard formations, it is resistant to impact and has extremely strong wear resistance, with a lifespan increase of 40%+.
* Optimized Spiral Water Channels: 3–4 spiral edges + guiding slope + cutting spiral arrangement, ensuring smooth water flow, reducing resistance by 30%+, fast chip removal, and preventing core blockage.
