This high-strength drilling tubular product is specially designed for deep geological exploration. It adopts an integrated inner upset forming process to form an exclusive variable wall thickness structure, with descriptions formulated to avoid proprietary naming and structural wording covered by competitors’ patents. The rod is applicable to diamond wireline coring drilling within a depth of 3160 meters, and widely used in metallic mineral exploration, deep geological mapping, hydrogeological investigation and other engineering projects.

Product features
1. Integrated Inner Upset Variable Wall Thickness Structure
The rod body and connecting end are integrally hot-upset forged. The upset area is thickened and reinforced to form a smoothly transitional variable wall thickness cross-section, eliminating stress concentration defects of traditional welded joints. The smooth inner bore without steps greatly reduces resistance during retrieving the inner tube assembly and improves the efficiency of running and retrieving wireline coring tools.
2. High-Grade ZT950 Base Material
Made of quenched and tempered ZT950 alloy seamless steel pipe with yield strength ≥950 MPa and excellent tensile strength. Its torsion resistance, compression resistance and fatigue resistance are far superior to conventional DZ60 pipes. It resists bending and fracture during deep-hole drilling, suitable for long-term operation under high formation pressure and complex hard rock formations.
3. Optimized Design for Stable Deep-Hole Drilling
The precise dimensional tolerances of the upset section’s inner and outer diameters perfectly match the matched locking threads, delivering tight connection sealing with no leakage of high-pressure flushing fluid. The variable wall thickness transition section reduces alternating stress loss of the rod body, ensures stable torque transmission at a drilling depth of 3160 meters, and mitigates thread wear and galling failures.
4. Flexible Selection of Multiple Length Specifications
The 1.5 m short rods are suitable for tunnel and confined drilling sites; the 2 m and 3 m long rods are compatible with large surface deep-hole drill rigs, cutting the number of rod connections, improving overall drilling efficiency and lowering the cost of joint consumables.
