The outer diameter is exactly the same as that of the standard NQ, but the inner diameter is smaller and the core is finer. It is specially designed for fractured, loose, deep-hole and easily clogged core formations. When used in conjunction with the NQ3 dedicated inner tube and drill bit, it significantly improves the core retrieval success rate and drilling stability.
