HRQ Both-End Quenched & Tempered Wireline Coring Rod
The HRQ rope core drill pipe is a high-strength rope core-specific drill pipe designed to meet the international DCDMA standards. It has an outer diameter of Φ89mm and a wall thickness of 5.6mm. It adopts a two-end zone quenching and tempering heat treatment process, which is different from the ordinary overall quenching and forging thickening drill pipes. It combines the high strength of threaded connection with the toughness of the drill pipe body, suitable for diamond rope core drilling in medium and deep holes, inclined holes, and complex strata. It is widely used in metal ore exploration, geological mapping, hydrogeology, and geotechnical engineering investigation.
Certificates: ISO, MSDS, RoHS
Length: 1m, 1.5m, 3m
Recommended depth: 2200m

Product features
1. Zoned Strengthening with Quenching & Tempering on Both Ends, Thread Service Life Doubled
90% of drill rod failures occur at threaded joints. The quenched and tempered treatment on both ends selectively reinforces stress-bearing areas. Under harsh conditions including hard rock drilling and frequent tripping operations, the risk of thread chipping and fracture is drastically reduced. Its overall service life in deep-hole drilling far exceeds ordinary untempered drill rods.
2. Thin-Wall Lightweight Design with High Strength to Improve Drilling Efficiency
Thin-wall specification of 89×5.6 mm offers a large inner flow channel of 77.8 mm bore diameter. It allows sufficient flushing fluid flow for fast cuttings removal and effective cooling of diamond bits. The lighter single rod weight cuts labor intensity during tripping in deep holes and boosts net drilling penetration rate.
3. Balanced Strength and Toughness for Complex Drilling Conditions
Zoned performance featuring hard rod ends and ductile main body delivers excellent torsional resistance and bending toughness. Ideal for medium-deep holes within 1500 m, straight holes, inclined holes, fractured hard rock and tectonic broken zones. Effectively prevents rod bending and breakage.
4. Universal Standard with Full Compatibility of Matching Accessories
HRQ thread matches all industry-standard HQ wireline coring tools perfectly. No replacement of existing inner tubes, overshots or core bits is required. New and old drill rods can be mixed in use to lower equipment adaptation costs.
5. Anti-Galling and Anti-Corrosion Performance
The threads undergo composite surface treatment of phosphating and nitriding. Resistant to rust and thread galling in underground mud and mineralized water environments. Threads can be broken loose effortlessly even after long-term shutdown.
