Description

PQ Loading Chamber is a heavy-duty hydraulic wireline coring accessory manufactured by SINOMACH Group, fully compliant with international DCDMA large-size standard, perfectly matched with complete PQ series deep drilling tools including wireline drill rods, water swivels and overshots.
Overshot can be lowered by gravity in vertical shallow boreholes, while deep underground horizontal & steep upward inclined boreholes cannot feed overshot by self-weight. This large-volume loading chamber delivers high-flow high-pressure drilling fluid to hydraulically push heavy PQ overshot down to deep borehole bottom to latch and retrieve core barrel. It is indispensable core equipment for deep mineral exploration, large water conservancy tunnels and deep geotechnical investigation projects.

Structural Composition

1. Bottom Standard PQ Male Taper Thread
Conforms strictly to DCDMA large-size PQ taper thread specification, directly connects to the top of PQ wireline drill rod. Multi-ring knurled outer surface prevents slipping during high-torque assembly, universally interchangeable with all global brands of PQ drilling tools.
2. Integrated Thickened Forged Large-Volume Main Housing
One-piece thick forged seamless pressure-resistant hollow body with larger inner capacity for high-flow mud delivery in deep boreholes. Circumferential cooling grooves on outer wall speed up heat dissipation during long-hour high-pressure operation, reducing high-temperature deformation risk. The fully sealed cavity stably bears hydraulic thrust pressure.
3. Side Large-Bore Female Thread High-Pressure Water Inlet Port
Enlarged standard internal thread connector for high-flow mud pump delivery hose, supplying sufficient flushing fluid to generate stable downward hydraulic thrust for heavy PQ overshot.
4. Top Locking & Sealing Assembly
* Widened anti-slip knurled locking knob: Extended locking stroke tightly compresses internal seals under high water pressure to stop mud leakage and pressure loss.
* Thickened forged brass guide nipple: Widened smooth brass contact surface fits thick-diameter wire rope for PQ overshot, drastically reducing abrasion during feeding and retrieval, anti-corrosion and prevents wire scratching.

Operation & Maintenance Instructions

1. Installation: Tighten the bottom PQ male taper thread onto drill rod top, connect high-flow mud pump delivery hose to the side large-bore inlet port.
2. Overshot Feeding Operation: Loosen top widened locking knob, insert PQ overshot assembly, tighten brass sealing nipple, start mud pump to hydraulically push overshot down to deep borehole bottom to latch inner core barrel.
3. Overshot Retrieval: Shut down mud pump, stand by to release internal cavity pressure, loosen top knob and pull wire rope to lift overshot out.
4. Daily Maintenance: Thoroughly flush heavy residual mud inside cavity with clean water after every shift, wipe dry and store in dry environment to avoid rust; regularly disassemble and replace aging oil seals, coat thread with special drill rod lubricating grease to prevent thread seizure under high pressure.
