The rod body and joint end are hot-forged and upset integrally without secondary welding. The upset end is thickened for reinforcement with smooth wall thickness transition, eliminating common defects including stress concentration and weld cracking of welded drill rods. The flat inner bore ensures smooth drilling fluid flow and lower resistance for matched drilling tools assembly.
2. ZT950 High-toughness Drilling Base Material
Made of quenched and tempered ZT950 alloy seamless steel pipe with yield strength ≥950MPa. It has outstanding torsion, compression, impact and fatigue resistance, better than ordinary carbon drilling steel pipes. It avoids bending, distortion and fracture under 1400m medium-shallow drilling conditions, adapting to stable operation in sandstone, limestone and weathered complex rock strata.
