CGE Group WUXI Drilling Tools Drill Rods Power the National Deep Earth Program

On September 30, the Weihe Basin ultra-deep scientific drilling site selection project — a key component of the National Major Science and Technology Program for Deep Earth Exploration, also designated as the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP) Weihe Basin Deep Drilling Project (WBDP Phase I) — successfully completed its drilling and coring operations, reaching a final borehole depth of 3,004.39 meters.

3,004.39-meter-deep core

The CPH, CPHT, and CHHT-1 series drill rods, independently developed by CGE Group WUXI Drilling Tools Co., Ltd., served as the core supporting equipment for this project. Featuring superior anti-galling, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant properties, the drill rods ensured stable, uninterrupted operation of the core drilling rig throughout the entire campaign, underpinning the successful completion of this ultra-deep drilling mission and delivering a key milestone for the national deep Earth exploration program.
