Water Swivel BQ, NQ, HQ, PQ, Wireline Core Drilling Rig Accessories Tools
Rotary water swivel is an essential auxiliary fitting for full-hydraulic wireline core drilling rigs, mounted on the top of drill string to connect high-pressure mud hose and rotating drill rods. It continuously delivers flushing fluid (water/mud) while drill rods rotate, removing cuttings, cooling drill bits and lubricating downhole tools. Compatible with BQ, NQ, HQ, PQ standard drill rods, it matches surface & underground core rigs for mineral exploration, geothermal deep well and geotechnical investigation projects.
Description

Rotary water swivel is an essential auxiliary fitting for full-hydraulic wireline core drilling rigs, mounted on the top of drill string to connect high-pressure mud hose and rotating drill rods. It continuously delivers flushing fluid (water/mud) while drill rods rotate, removing cuttings, cooling drill bits and lubricating downhole tools. Compatible with BQ, NQ, HQ, PQ standard drill rods, it matches surface & underground core rigs for mineral exploration, geothermal deep well and geotechnical investigation projects.
Size Matching
* BQ Water Swivel: For small BQ drill rods, shallow-hole light rigs & underground sampling rigs
* NQ Water Swivel: Universal small-medium size, standard for hundred-meter geological survey rigs
* HQ Water Swivel: Mainstream medium-large size, widely used for medium-deep mineral & geothermal drilling
* PQ Water Swivel: Heavy-duty large size, for 3000m ultra-deep boreholes & high-flow mud circulation
Structural Composition
1. Cast steel fixed inlet housing with standard high-pressure hose thread
2. Quenched alloy steel rotary spindle with DCDMA standard drill rod thread
3. Multi-layer wear-resistant combined sealing set, anti-sand & leak-proof
4. Heavy-duty thrust bearing assembly to bear drill string weight & feed pressure
5. External grease fitting for convenient field lubrication maintenance
6. Anti-splash mud shield to protect bearing & sealing from rock cuttings abrasion
Core Advantages
1. Multi-stage composite sealing resists sandy mud erosion, stable high-pressure circulation without leakage
2. Reinforced thrust bearing ensures smooth rotation, reduces power head load and wear
3. Integral cast steel housing & tempered spindle, impact-resistant for harsh field mining conditions
4. DCDMA standard thread, universally interchangeable with all brands wireline drill rods & rigs
5. External grease injection design simplifies daily maintenance and cuts spare part cost
6. Anti-splash shield blocks mud ingress to avoid bearing seizure and unplanned downtime
Maintenance Instructions for Use
1. Before installation, check that the main shaft threads and sealing surfaces are undamaged. Apply lubricating grease to the threads before connecting the drill pipe.
2. Before each shift starts, add lubricating grease through the oiling port to ensure adequate lubrication of the bearings and seals.
3. Control the rated pressure of the mud pump. Do not operate it under excessive pressure for a long time to avoid seal rupture and leakage.
4. After each shift, rinse the external mud and sandstone of the water swivel. For long-term inactivity, disassemble for maintenance, apply anti-rust grease, and store it.
5. Replace the oil seal and sealing component in case of dripping or leaking. Prevent sand and stones from wearing down the main shaft and bearings.
