HTWA is the upgraded lightweight version of the standard HTW thin-walled rope core drill pipe. It is produced in accordance with the DCDMA international standard. The wall thickness of the pipe body and the joint structure have been optimized, reducing the weight by 12% while maintaining the full interchangeability of the standard HTW specifications. It is a high-quality alternative to the traditional HQ thick-walled drill pipe. It is suitable for large and medium-sized full hydraulic rope core drilling rigs and is recommended for depths of 2000m, for conventional hard rock and complete formation mineral exploration in medium-depth holes.

Description

HTWA is a standard lightweight and optimized upgraded version of thin-walled rope core drill pipe, manufactured in accordance with the DCDMA international standard. It has an outer diameter of 92.2mm and a wall thickness of 4.5mm. It is made from 4130/ZT950 chromium-molybdenum alloy seamless steel pipes and undergoes overall quenching and tempering heat treatment. The structure of the drill pipe body and the joint are optimized, both ends are forged and reinforced, and the threads are subjected to high-frequency surface quenching. It achieves excellent wear resistance and anti-sticking properties, as well as good thread sealing performance. On the basis of maintaining full specification compatibility and interchangeability with HTW, HTWH, HQ drill bits, expanders, and inner pipe assemblies, it weighs 12% less than conventional HTW, with a single-meter weight of 9.8kg. There are three standard lengths available: 1.5m, 2m, and 3m. It not only has superior torsional performance compared to traditional HQ thick-walled drill pipes, but also improves the mud flow cross-sectional area by 16%, has excellent slag removal and drill bit cooling effects, and can significantly reduce the torque load of the drilling rig and the cost of field transportation. It can perfectly replace HQ thick-walled drill pipes and is suitable for large and medium-sized hydraulic rope core drilling rigs. It is recommended for use in 2000 meters or less of medium-depth hole complete hard rock stratum mineral exploration operations.

2.Excellent large-diameter circulation: The inner diameter is superior to that of HTW and HQ thick-walled rods. The mud flow is greater, and the complete formation discharge is smooth, the drill bit has good heat dissipation, and the problem of clogging and stopping the drill is reduced.

3.National standard universal: DCDMA standard threads. The original HTW/HQ complete set of drilling tools can be directly matched without the need to replace the inner pipe or the fishing assembly.

4.Cost-effective choice: For regular complete formations, no heavy-duty HTWH is needed. HTWA has sufficient strength, and the procurement and usage costs are lower than the thickened HTWH. It is more economical for medium and deep holes.
