CGE WUXI's Drilling Rod Strength Enables 45-Day Efficient Completion of Over 1,500-Meter Deep Hole Drilling Project

Recently, CGE Group (WUXI) Drilling Tools Co., Ltd. announced a significant project success: Utilizing the high-strength core drill pipe independently produced by our company, the collaborative drilling project completed the ultra-deep core drilling task of over 1,500 meters in just 45 days, setting a new benchmark for efficient deep-hole construction under the same geological conditions. 
The geological strata in the construction area of this project are complex, with alternating soft and hard rock layers, and the torque in the underground is high and the erosion is severe. This poses extremely strict challenges to the tensile, torsional and fatigue resistance of the drill pipe. The project used the complete set of wireline core drill pipe from Zhongdi Jiaozuo throughout the process. During continuous long-term deep-hole operations, no rod breakage, thread slippage, or stuck drill occurred, and the overall stability of the drilling tools was excellent. The entire core sampling process was successfully completed at a design depth of over 1,500 meters in one go.

The project site supervisor stated that deep-hole drilling is most prone to frequent shutdowns due to drill bit wear, which significantly prolongs the construction period. The drilling rods provided as part of this project have excellent rigidity, high precision in thread fitting, and outstanding wear resistance and fatigue resistance. This greatly reduces non-productive waiting time and directly compresses the overall construction period to 45 days, significantly improving the overall construction efficiency.
All the drilling rods used in this project are produced on the company's automated intelligent production line. They adopt core processes such as integrated heat treatment and thread surface strengthening. Each drill rod undergoes strict tensile, torsion, and full inspection of dimensions before leaving the factory. The company holds ISO, RoHS, MSDS certifications, and multiple independent patents for deep-hole drilling equipment. Its products cover multiple fields such as mineral exploration, geotechnical engineering, hydrology and geothermal energy, and are exported to over 40 countries around the world.
