With pipe body size Φ70.5×4.7mm, it adopts ZT950 high-grade alloy steel substrate, adopting dual process of both ends upset forging thickening + medium-frequency sectional tempering. It is specially designed for ultra-deep mineral exploration and deep geological coring with maximum recommended drilling depth of 2300 meters.

Description
NQA is flagship ultra-deep hole reinforced NQ-standard wireline core drill rod, compliant with international DCDMA standards. With pipe body size Φ70.5×4.7mm, it adopts ZT950 high-grade alloy steel substrate, adopting dual process of both ends upset forging thickening + medium-frequency sectional tempering. It is specially designed for ultra-deep mineral exploration and deep geological coring with maximum recommended drilling depth of 2300 meters.
Different from ordinary NQ, NRQ and NXQ common tempered drill rods, NQA adopts integrated hot upset forging thickening on rod ends plus double reinforcement tempering process, with thicker thread base and upgraded overall structural strength. It realizes full optimization on material, rod end structure, heat treatment and thread fatigue resistance. Balancing ultra-high tensile & torsional strength and high pipe toughness, it fits 2000-2300m ultra-deep straight holes, high-inclination holes, high-pressure fractured hard rock and deep complex structural formations. It solves core failures including rod base fracture, thread tooth collapse, body bending fatigue and transition zone fracture, fully compatible with all NQ wireline coring accessories.

1. Dual process of upset forging & tempering, fit for 2300m flagship ultra-deep drill string
Conventional NQ, NRQ, NXQ drill rods are limited within 2030m drilling depth. NQA adopts unique hot upset base thickening + extended end tempering technology, doubling thread base bearing capacity. It bears dead weight and limit rotary torque of 2300m drill string, greatly improves fatigue resistance, and avoids rod end & thread failure.
2. 70.5*4.7mm optimized pipe body, balance lightweight and high strength
Optimized 4.7mm wall thickness and 70.5mm outer diameter reduce overall drill string dead weight for 2300m deep hole; large inner bore improves flushing fluid flow, accelerates cuttings discharge and diamond bit cooling, boosts deep hole drilling efficiency.
3. Thickened base reinforcement, eliminate transition zone fracture defect
Integrated hot upset forging thickens thread connection section, relieves stress difference between rod body and thread end, smooth heat treatment transition zone, solves transition section breakage under long-term alternating load of ultra-deep holes.
4. Universal NQ standard thread, zero accessory replacement cost
Fully compliant with DCDMA NQ standard thread, compatible with all mainstream NQ wireline coring parts. Original core barrel, overshot, reaming shell and diamond bit can be used directly, mixed use with old rods saves project cost.
5. Hardened thread surface, anti-corrosion and anti-galling for deep well
Thread with composite nitriding anti-rust hardening treatment, resist corrosion of mineralized groundwater and acidic mud. Excellent anti-seize performance, easy breakout after long downhole placement, reduce deep hole sticking and construction downtime loss.
