Description
The HTWH thin-walled rope core drill pipe is a heavy-duty reinforced high-strength model of the HTW series. It is produced in strict accordance with the DCDMA international standard and is made of high-quality 4130/ZT950 chromium-molybdenum alloy seamless steel pipes. The entire product undergoes quenching and tempering heat treatment, with the pipe body thickened and both ends hardened. The joint threads are treated with high-frequency quenching. It features extremely high torsional, bending, wear, anti-stick and adhesive resistance, as well as excellent sealing performance. The outer diameter is 93mm, the wall thickness is 5.7mm, with a thickened design. The standard lengths are 1.5m, 2m, and 3m. The weight per meter is 11.87kg. It is fully compatible with the entire set of HTW, HTWA, and HQ drilling tool assemblies and can be seamlessly interchanged for use. Compared to ordinary HTW, its strength has been significantly upgraded. It is specifically designed to handle harsh and complex working conditions such as deep holes, hard rocks, fractured strata, fault zones, and steeply inclined holes. It is recommended for drilling depths up to 1600m, effectively solving industry problems such as broken drill rods, slipping, stuck, and collapse in deep holes. It is the ultimate high-strength alternative to HQ thick-walled drill pipes for deep geological exploration, detailed mineral exploration, and deep well construction using large hydraulic drilling rigs.

Product Features
1.Ultra-high strength for harsh and complex formations
HTWH adopts thickened tube wall and enlarged upset joints, manufactured with high-strength 4130/ZT950 alloy and full quenching & tempering heat treatment. It delivers much higher torsion and bending resistance than standard HTW and HTWA, effectively solving rod breakage, thread galling and pipe deformation in deep holes, hard rock, fractured zones, faults and deviated holes.
2.Excellent deep-hole drilling , recommended depth up to 1600m
With upgraded structural rigidity and fatigue resistance, HTWH maintains stable performance under long-term high-load deep drilling. It ensures straight boreholes and minimizes tool failure, perfectly suitable for deep mineral exploration, geothermal wells and large-scale water conservancy geological projects.
3.Anti-galling threads and durable sealing for longer service life
The joint threads are high-frequency case hardened with high surface hardness and wear resistance. They prevent thread galling and stripping during repeated make-and-break operations. The precise taper sealing ensures zero mud leakage under high pressure, greatly reducing maintenance and replacement frequency.
4.Large inner bore for smooth mud circulation and efficient cooling
While maintaining super-high mechanical strength, HTWH reserves a large inner diameter for high mud flow capacity. It ensures fast cuttings removal and effective bit cooling, avoiding bit balling, slag accumulation and stuck pipe in broken formations, providing higher drilling efficiency than traditional HQ solid rods.
5.Full DCDMA interchangeability with strong compatibility
Manufactured strictly according to DCDMA international standards, HTWH is fully interchangeable with existing HTW, HTWA and HQ bits, reamers, core barrels and overshot assemblies. No need to replace original drilling equipment, allowing fast and low-cost on-site upgrade.
FAQ
Q1: Standard HTW / HTWA easily break or suffer thread damage in fractured rock, fault zones and deviated deep holes?
A: Designed with thickened tube wall and enlarged upset joints, HTWH features superior torsion & bending strength to avoid rod fracture and thread failure under tough drilling conditions.
Q2: Conventional HQ solid rods are overweight, causing heavy rig load, high fuel cost and difficult transportation?
A: Optimized lightweight design vs solid HQ reduces rig torque, fuel consumption and onsite handling cost.
Q3: Small inner bore of HQ leads to poor mud circulation, inefficient cuttings removal and frequent stuck pipe?
A: Large inner diameter ensures sufficient mud flow, smooth cuttings discharge and effective bit cooling to minimize stuck-drill downtime.
Q4: New heavy-duty rods fail to match existing HTW/HQ accessories with high upgrade cost?
A: Made per DCDMA specification, fully interchangeable with HTW, HTWA and HQ bits, reamers and core barrels without equipment replacement.
Q5: Ordinary drill pipes cannot satisfy deep drilling over 2000 meters for mineral and geothermal projects?
A: Reinforced construction supports max recommended drilling depth up to 2500m, ideal for deep mineral prospecting, geothermal and hydraulic engineering exploration.
